On Friday, July 24th, Alberta’s rock bingo super group, BANGER BINGO, will be running hourly bingo game shows for the patrons of Steam Whistle Brewery in support of the charity Right To Play Canada.
Take a load of your feet, grab a Pilsner and stay for a round or two of Rock N’ Roll Bingo fun with plenty of prizes and jokes to be had for all.

Steam Whistle Brewery are once again proving that they are the ‘Good Beer Folks’. Ready, Set, SOAR! Kingston Air Guitar cleared for lift off this SATURDAY!
The FIRST EVER ‘official’ Kingston Air Guitar Championships is here thanks to the high flying Queen’s Right To Play team!
This coming Sat. March 28th, the first capital of Canada, the Limestone City, the home of K-Rock will host the first event of the 2015 Air Guitar Canada season. Not only is it the first event of the year, it is also the FIRST EVER ‘official’ Air Guitar Championships to be held in the city of Kingston. Prepare yourself for the parade of weird and awesome – sign up to rock, compete for your chance at a trip to the Nationals. Or… just come to cheer on these courageous and shameless performers. You’ll even get to help choose one of the songs that they get to play!
The event will be held at the Mansion starting at 11pm. We’ll be punching it out in the Wine Cellar, hoisting Steam Whistles and celebrating world peace the only way we know how – with face-melting 1-min performances from the likes of Tom ‘The Bomb’ Miller, Dora the Destroyer, Bad Betty and BIG K just to name a few.
Is there something in the air? Maybe you get inspired? Last minute performers are encouraged – We call these the ‘Brave Souls’. Choose a song from 20 pre-cut tracks and give it the ol’ college try. You have nothing to lose and prizes and fame to win.
Our winner will receive a sweet Robert Borden ($100) and another $100 for their travel to Toronto for the Nationals. There are also Steam Whistle prize packs, sick swag. and unlimited bragging rights up for grabs.
The best part – your ticket will be counted among the donations that make their way to Right to Play Canada – a charitable organization that uses sport and play to help children facing adversity all over the world. Booyah.

The Night That Was… The 2014 Canadian Air Guitar Championships

They came. They shredded. They re-instated Canada as a righteous member of the world Air Guitar scene. Fifteen of the country’s finest Air Guitarists let loose and made the nation proud as they hefted invisible axes, powered through delicious riffs and celebrated world peace in support for our charity Right To Play Canada.
The following is a feast for the eyes and an insiders look into the frolic and fun that took place last night at Toronto’s Virgin Mobile MOD Club. Our Air Guitar Canada photographer Angelo Marchini captured the night and now we share it with you. Like a Phoenix – Red Zeppelin is Re-Born
Maybe that title was a bit fantastical for this announcement, but as we all know, Led Zeppelin were prone to revelling in fantasy and Tolkien-esque inspired anthems. Well, not long ago, there was a cover band to rival all cover bands and this band was called RED ZEPPELIN. Their rise was meteoric and they did rock the rock rock to the screams of fans and cheers of all who bore witness.
Now… newly formed, for one night only, fronted by Joan Smith (Little Foot Long Foot), David Finkelstein on guitar, Derek Zwiep on drums and Graham Smith on Bass – Legendary rockers, RED ZEPPELIN have returned to provide you a feast of classic rock that Robert Plant and Jimmy Page would be proud to devour.
